track 4 from the 1974 album Rufusized

In 1975 Rolling Stone Magazine writer Jim Miller wrote a less than favorable review of Rufusized, (http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/rufus/albums/album/219618/review/5940303/rufusized) but it didn't stop me or any of my crowd from enjoying, loving and partying along with the entire record as the first track suggests. This is by far my favorite of any recording by Chaka Khan and it holds a very special place in my heart's party days hall of fame.

  • Damn, will we ever experience this smooth talent again? Chaka does it!

  • They don't make 'em like Chaka anymore!

  • HOLY CRAP!

  • The words to this song described the 70's to a "T". Old friends, old loves. If I could go back in time I wouldn't change a day (except video tape more of the decade for everyone to enjoy today). Magnificent post.

  • @ewdixon99 thats beautiful. What will we know your voice from?

  • @ewdixon99 Man what a great story and congratulations!

  • @ewdixon99 I'm sooo happy for you. 27years--Amazing. Thanks for sharing that history.

  • @iluvmyboba It really is, I was just out of high school when I heard this song for the first time. It reminds me of the girl I took to the prom. I joined the Navy after high school and she got married, I thought about her a lot while I was in the service and when I got out, she was getting a divorce! Long story short, my dream came true and we got married in 84. I forgot about this song, but I'm glad I found it. Those were great times back then.

  • ...and where is Jim Miller today? Huh.

    LOL

  • I was a freshman at Ohio University and i just played this song a million times. I loved this song so much. :)
