Selena: Ugh *Lays her head down on the desk*

Nick: *Silently chuckles and reads his book*

Selena's POV

I sat in my chair re-reading posters on the wall for over an hour before I got bored and laid my head down on the desk. Through a creak in my arms, I stared at Nicholas.

His curly hair was neatly styled and his eyelashes were nice and long. He didn't have one pimple on his face, unlike Joe. I stared so long that I didn't even notice most of the kids exit. And before I knew it, Nick tapped my shoulder lightly.

Selena: *Sits up*

Nick: *Whispers* Check it out. *Points at the teacher who is asleep*

Selena: *Smiles* Awesome.

Nick: *Whispers* We still have a few more minutes, so you like to be called Selena?

Selena: *Whispers* Yeah, and you?

Nick: *Whispers* Nick. You think he read our note?

Selena: *Whispers* If he did, I hope he enjoyed it.

Nick: *Whispers* Let's go.

Selena: *Whispers* 'kay. *Stands up quietly and grabs her bag*

Selena's POV

I followed him out the door and before I could begin speaking to him again, I remembered something. Joe. He was probably waiting for me outside of the school.

And that was when I switched from ol' Selena back to player mode.

Selena: *Smiles flirtatciously at Nick* Well, I've got to go.

Nick: *Raises an eyebrow* Um, okay. I guess I'll see you-

Selena: Yeah, maybe. *Turns around and fast walks away*

Selena's POV

I couldn't get attatched, it would ruin everything.

That's why I was heading down the hall, not looking back, not even once. But when I turned at the corner, I could see from peripheral vision the hurt in Nick's beautiful brown eyes.
