@Norsegod127 Agreed. They're more fun to listen to... Helloween, Rhapsody, Alestorm, Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Stratovarius, and Led Zeppelin and Jethro Tull have some of the greatest melodies and lyrics of all time.

@WanderLucifer so true right now-- metal goes through cycles in terms of which region in the world is producing the best music. Britian held the title for the longest time, but then America took that torch with thrash for the 80's, but as more European bands emerged form thrash-its clear that Europe is the best place in the world for metal today. America is absolute crap for metal, it is totally plagued by crappy screamo bands. this is coming from an American as well
