Oversteps Charter Mark Award - CrossReach - Oversteps

Oversteps is a beautiful care home situated in Dornock set in its own private grounds, overlooking Dornock beach. Oversteps is part of CrossReach, offering care to 24 very special people who use services.

There is 35 staff employed in Oversteps with everyone working extremely hard to offer the highest quality of care to the people who use the service. Staff learn new skills in an endeavour to keep improving the service for 24 much-loved clients and to increase the excellent reputation.


Aberdeen Social Enterprises - Turning Point Scotland

Aberdeen Social Enterprises (a Turning Point Scotland service) team is fully committed to promoting the independence of individuals who are disadvantaged in the labour market through the provision of training, work experience and employment. Dedicated to reducing the enterprise dependency on funding, staff go the extra mile to enhance business opportunities and save money.

The team of nine support up to 50 people who use services at a time within four distinct enterprises - a craft workshop, a framing workshop, gift shop and café. Each member of the team brings their own special talents and a true passion for supporting people. In the last year, despite the economic downturn, the business has generated substantial income, improved the mental well being of their people who use services and encouraged partnerships with local businesses, education providers, job centres and health care providers.


Community Alternatives - North Lanarkshire Council Social Work Services

The community alternatives team use an innovative approach developed for North Lanarkshire that treats young people as individuals, uses a variety of ways to achieve engagement, helps them to work towards a positive future and challenges offending and anti-social behaviour in a way that supports them through change. They use a variety of methods traditionally used with young offenders, young people who are looked after and young people in a throughcare setting, but through a single, multi skilled team focused on positive outcomes for the young people.
