She's doing it as a strathspey instead of a reel. That's why it's slower and has that rhythm. At 2:12 she goes to reel style although it's a bit wobbly, and modulates at 3:26 up to Em.
You just have to know what you're looking for.

type in the youtube username dabombxx and go down to the 8th video...you'll see the tamlin there...and how it should be played...what a fucking banjo player!
