The Free-Market Case for Green with T.J. Rodgers.
A dedicated, unabashed, free market capitalist, T. J. Rodgers takes a businessman's and engineer's view of global warming. How serious is it, and what should we make of the plans offered up by politicians such as Al Gore and Barack Obama to deal with it? If "cap and trade" or pollution taxes on CO2 are not the answer, what is?
T. J. Rodgers is the founder and CEO of Cypress Semiconductor Corporation and the chairman of SunPower Corporation, a manufacturer of solar power systems. He holds a doctorate in electrical engineering from Stanford University - Hoover Institution

Obama's new science advisor wants to put the sulphur back now. Are those companies that were required to buy carbon credits or invest in scrubbers going to get their money back?

It would be so much more efficient to run a saltwater desal plant and flood the desert lay in some mulch, grow corn and make fuel, the plants use co2 and release O2, we all win, jobs, money, cleaner fuel! IM a freakin genius! Lethalcobra2k3 for President, Ill fix Iraq and the economy in one shot, and I wont lie to you, much (jk)! Besides, I think we can compromise with drilling, by only setting up a few rigs, enough to drop gas by at least $1 OH, Id legalize pot and tax that=no deficit
in 4 yrs

OK, so we tax these guys into reducing carbon emissions so who is going to pay for this? We are. higher prices for goods and higher sales taxes because the price of those goods went up. There is a better way.
