  • For all you who do want to know, there is such a thing as Maori Land, this type of land is vested in the Crown, the only difference being that title to the land is divided with each new generation. Maori "customary" land however is a different class of land completely and is not vested in the Crown (see Section 129 (ss 1&2) Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993). There isn't much of it around, the majority being in the King Country and relative to the immediate case, in te Urewera National Park.

  • @worksend6 kiaora, you are right. there is not much maori land left. only about 6% of the whole of nz. its ours, always has been, always will be. maori land is unextinguished of the native title. we have the right to have our lands protected esp from outsiders who think they have a right to tresspass. its about respecting each others spaces. :) kai te mihi.

  • alex...ive given you a lot of material to research...you have a lot to learn about maori and our place in this country. my advice to you is to go and learn the history of nz propperly......go and learn some maori...and keep lobbying your govt for better signage, especially for wahi tapu and protecting tupuna....take care...

  • @thedujong rock apes eh?.... you are the fuckin ape you jerk!!!!!

  • @nguha313 Tihei Mauriora! I completely agree with your sentiments about sleeping/pissing on waahi tapu. I wouldn't want anyone to go wandering into the graveyard of my grandfather or great-grandfather and do that, to do so would be disrespectful and disgusting. How hard is it to go and check with the locals before staying somewhere? And I also believe that it is to do with the tourists in campervans. Go hard with what your doing but make sure not to be dicks to us people who do check. Chur

  • @Alex462047 hey...do your own research.....i aint got the tim e to make wahi tapu signs for maori land, or to educate you on the basics of maori land 101. you gunna try and label me rascist for saying maori land?....lol.....anyway....hope you learnt something about maori and non maori ( pakeha) land .....if you are staying on maori land, make sure you ask the locals if its ok, dont just assume you have every right to be there..thats what this is all about, maori have rights too.anyway, take care

  • @Alex462047 you told me there is no private non-crown land. you say ALL land belongs to the crown!!???!!!
