The legendary historian goes gaga over the awesome nature of the fight. Listen to how he carefully sugarcoats what was witnessed February 23rd. More at www.boxingconfidential.com
I agree. Bert Sugar (what a name to start with...) is just a blow-hard journalist who thinks 'throw away lines' on various fighters and fights make him some sort of expert. I take my hat off to the fighters who have the guts to step into the ring in the first place and place their reputation on the line in what is the worlds hardest sport. I have no time for wankers like this bloke. Someone should take that cigar, light it and shove it up his arse!
Can't stand Sugar. Typical armchair expert. He claims to be a boxing historian yet doesnt even have Jeffries in his HW top 10 and puts Lennox Lewis at 19(??). Complete tool and psedu-intellect.
I think that with the advent of scientific understanding of dementia pugilistica many fighters are very leery about taking too much punishment. I really think this is at least part of the reason you don't see too much heavy infighting and lots of stalking and avoidance.
The Klitschko's are pretty good fighters however. I think Vitali would have given anyone, in any era, a serious challenge. And at least he doesn't mug his opponents the way Ali constantly did from Bonavena on. BORING!
Bert Sugar needs to realise the Klitschko's are great champions he goes on about Larry Holmes Jab and how great he was Lennox aswell they werent that much exciting style fighters either i think his too much of american fight fan.
