While more technically impressive, I feel like the samples in the original have much better synergy and texture. Also some drum hits in this version feel out of place.
Good example of less is more.

@Felgrand101 I believe the original track was inspired by Nine Inch Nails; specifically Pretty Hate Machine.
I know the theme for Funky's Flights was inspired by New Order, specifically and especially Blue Monday. (Read that in an interview from '95)

@mezme84 i agree

I like the fear factory theme as it's like a mix of jungle and techno (that's basically what the level is, monkey's in a factory). but do you remember those notes that keep repeating on the beat in the original? if they had kept those in, it would have related better. nonetheless, this still sounds great.

Nnnnnnnnnnnnn' its just a tiny bit but I can feel no relation to the original and somehow Megaman themes and levels pop up before my spiritual eye.

There's a word for what you want; rehash.

Original had more depth =l
This sounds like too much electro mixed with those drums I can't remember the name of lol

Great stuff! Does justice to the original Fear Factory.

@ilikeGorillaz1 Well, i guess you do have a point about the Tiki's more or less coming out of nowhere, but Retro likes creative control and as developers are entitled to that right. If the kremlings were in it they'd probably use the new character models they have out for them on their sports games, which are largely inferior to the snes series. If they can't get them just right, its best just to stay away from them imo.
Its ok but the original is still the best !!

Personally, I'm just glad they put this track back in to the games. Donkey Kong Country Returns really was a tribute to the old games from our childhood...even if I'm a little annoyed at the lack of Kremlins.
