Hey there! Sweet video. I just got one of these today. Really great toy. You seem to have some experience with your R2 unit. I was wondering if you got help me out a bit. My R2's personality seems to be extremely independent. He rotates his head back and forth A LOT and gives a negative sounding set of beeps. He'll often stop listening to me after I get him to comply to a few commands in a row. He simply doesn't listen to the "follow me" command. And at random times he goes into sentry mode.

I love your video. I have R2-D2 myself however his red and blue light burned out . Do you know how to repair it. I called Hasbro , but they say he was discontinued and no longer support this product.

@Jyhan32 The red and blue light seem to be two separate lights so it sound more like a loose wire. There use to be a video on YouTube of someone taking one apart. You might want to try to check it out on how to take R2 apart to try to fix it.

what kinda power does that droid run on? plug & charge or batteries? 'cause I imagine it'll go through AA's like nothing. Either way...I still want one !!

It uses 4 "AA" batteries for the snsors and voice recognition, and 4 "D" batteries for the wheels moving it around. The "AA" batteries last for a good long time, but the "D" batteries don't last as long. I bought rechargeable "D" batteries and they last a long time with one recharge.
