  • @thealiaslife The fact that Watergate turns your view of Nixon into this "crook" is very sad. He did many great things as President, and should be remembered by those things.

  • Henry Kissinger - a man who is on record saying "bomb everything that moves with everything that flies" about the US campaign of murder in Cambodia. A war criminal if I ever saw one. This affair was an exercise in hypocrisy and self-righteousness in the extreme. May all these motherfuckers suffer for the crimes they have committed against the weak and powerless.

  • damn hilary clinton was hot back in those days

  • Like losing fungus. Glad to see it gone, but left with the painful memories of its existence.

  • Dellboy don't you think what you said was a little harsh I mean even if you think he wasn't a good president you don't need to say that he should burn in hell you dident know him as a person

  • @Sabu71495 A crook is someone who stole and if anything he never enriched himself in office. If he stole anything, it was the 2 years he took from himself as being our President. I miss him!

  • @R3DF00T Yes, Clinton did allow banks and Fed to deregulate, but the majority of push came from Republicans in the House and the Senate; Clinton just went with it.

And no, the government didn't create the bubble, the private sector did. The mortgage originators, the investment bankers, and the rating agencies injected these toxic assets into the system, in which was running like the past 30 years, with all the securitizations and shebang.

Reagan was the first to open up the floodgates.

  • @ninuxy Our economic problems were largely due to Bill Clinton, Alan Greenspan and Art Levitt Jr. They're the ones that allowed all the deregulation of the banking industry, allowed Wall Street bankers to run the Treasury Department, and they created this housing bubble that popped. If anyone is to blame for what's going on, it's not Reagan, it's Clinton. I agree Nixon was a great President outside Watergate.

  • I can agree with Nixon that the Pentagon Papers should have been withheld for reasons of national security. Again, it's debatable, but outside that, you can't say that he was a bad guy or a bad President. He did many good things for this country. He opened up relations with China. He was the one who started Vietnamization which slowly ended US involvement in the Vietnam War. At least he didn't have to cheat to become President (JFK). Not that JFK was a bad President either.

  • Karmas a bitch..
