lt's all the orchestral players with straight sounds that take the special sound away from those brass bands now, + not all the players stay long enough these days like the old bands. Those players played for love.

I disagree, how do you think the Cory band won the 2009 British open, it sure as hell wasn't the loud playing.

This is the real sound of brass band. When conpare to today, the level of sound produce by brass band (as a band) in those days was simply amazing. Today, only the loudest one can win .
