John Calvin's Poisonous TULIP
This is a quote from John Calvin in his "Institutes," 3.21.5,
"By predestination we mean the eternal decree of God, by which he determined with himself whatever he wished to happen with regard to every man. All are not created on equal terms, but some are preordained to eternal life, others to eternal damnation; and, accordingly, as each has been created for one or other of these ends, we say that he has been predestinated to life or to death."
So Calvinism teaches that it is God's own choice that some people are to be damned forever. He never intended to save them. He foreordained them to go to Hell. And when He offers salvation in the Bible, He does not offer it to those who were foreordained to be damned. It is offered only to those who were foreordained to be saved.
This teaching insists that we need not try to win men to Christ because men cannot be saved unless God has planned for them to be saved. And if God has planned for them to be eternally lost, they will not come to Christ. The doctrine of Calvinism actually teases the lost with the gospel.
By Limited Atonement, Calvin meant that Christ died only for the elect, for those He planned and ordained to go to Heaven: He didn't die for those He planned and ordained to go to Hell. Such language is not in the Bible , and the doctrine totally contradicts many, many plain Scriptures.
For instance, the Bible says in I John 2:2, "He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world ." The teaching of Calvinism on Limited Atonement contradicts the express statement of Scripture. First Timothy 2:5,6 says, " The man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all...."
Calvinism so obviously disagrees with the oft-repeated invitations in the Bible to sinners to come to Christ and be saved.
John 7:37 ¶In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If ANY man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
Revelation 22:17 Whosoever will may come and take of the water of life freely.
Isaiah 55:1 ¶Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Romans 10:13 For WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL be saved.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
The god of Calvinism chose to save a few and most for the mere pleasure of sending to eternal damnation.
That is not the GOD of the Bible. God loves everyone because He is Love.
1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. GOD IS LOVE; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

So Calvinists are not Christians?

I don't get how Calvinism is damnable. What about it does it make it damnable? Also Calvinists don't deny the love of God, they believe that God shows his love to the elect and wrath to the unelect like how Romans 9:11-23 tells us. 1Peter 2:1 is talking about God the Father buying Israel, not Christ buying the church. Read what happened in Deu 32:6, God bought Israel. Also the bible is clear that God doesnt love everyone. Psalm 5:5 says he hates workers of iniquity (not just their sin).

Amazing: Arminians can't take a the giant hint of the Old Testament that man cannot get salvation by his "goodness" but faiedl trying. You cannot be good apart from God, you cannot work for your salvation. It's a gift, not given to one because they ran faster or because they willed to have it, but given to those God draws to him and produces faith in to be saved -- given freely of Christ's love, lest anyone should boast. Christ did not die in vain: eternal life means eternal life, not temporary.

"Jesus died for your sins everyone, don't listen to those Calvinists, but the moment you feel hate when someone strikes your head the Holy Spirit will u repent he'll come back again, then if u sin he'll leave, repent come back sin then leave repent come back sin then leave. Oh and you'll be back on your way to Hell unless you ask for forgiveness again, and you'll need to be rebaptized over and over. Basically you'll have no life then burn out and turn atheist or fear sudden disaster." Evil.

So then, the gospel of Arminius is the gospel of those who work for their salvation, who violate the symbol of the Sabbath day, to rest form your works and trust in Christ. You are the heretics. You trust in your will over God's and blaspheme by saying you can not only be good apart from Christ, but can defeat God's will. Didn't you hear when Jesus said, "Our Father in Heaven, your will be done on earth as it IS IN HEAVEN."? Using your backwards sinful logic God is only a tyrant rapist in Heaven

"The doctrine of Calvinism actually teases the lost with the gospel. " Rachella, what do you call telling someone Jesus died for their sins but you still have to keep praying for forgiveness or end up in Hell for left of sins, and that you don't get eternal life now, but have to keep obeying God forever, and that you can wish salvation away with a whim? Does that sound like, "whoever believes in me has eternal life"? No. That's a damnable denial of Christ's gift, a hateful attitude, and vain.

@Rachella38 I realize that the argument for Calvinism vs Arminianism will not be solved over arguments debated on youtube. So I respectively remove my comments, lest they do harm by confusing a new believer. ultimately Calvinism and Arminanism are just a small small part of the picture. What really matters is the finished work of Christ.

John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

@Rachella38. John Calvin writes: “…the reason why God elects some and rejects others is to be found in His purpose alone. … before men are born their lot is assigned to each of them by the secret will of God. … the salvation or the destruction of men depends on His free election.” (Calvin’s New Testament Commentaries: Romans and Thessalonians, p.203)

@apollos6640 Yes, thank you. John Calvin lacked the main fruit of the spirit, which is love.
We can't love God, without loving others.

Who strangled both grace and those he disapproved of"
