Tuscaloosa AL Tornado, NO UNAUTHORIZED USE of this video in part or as a whole. If you are interested in this video, send me a message on here.
I have another video on here from the last hour and a half before the tornado. It ends about 3 minutes before I started shooting this one.

Newly added to Youtube is a "sped up" version of this tornado. Played at a higher frame rate, it's similar to a time lapse showing the rotation and movement of the tornado.

I do not give rights to my storm videos to any media agency for "credit line". Storm chasing is not cheap and I cannot recoup any of my cost with a "credit line". I will gladly work out a license if you wish to use any of my footage. Thank you!

  • Is it permissible to post this video on Facebook, giving you credit?

  • @badmfsb Sharing the video on FB is fine

  • Incredible footage! Wondering, did you hear tornado sirens going off? I've seen several videos if this tornado and haven't heard any, just wondering.

  • @neinoctober The only time I heard Tornado sirens going off was about an hour prior to moving into Tuscaloosa. I was near Coker AL, just a couple miles west of Tuscaloosa. Once I got back into Tuscaloosa to catch the cell that produced the tornado, I never heard sirens again. I wondered why they never reactivated them. I have another video I shot before this one, it has the sirens going off.

  • Well done! Stable/tripoded video and no screaming and yelling. Excellent stuff!

  • @wtownsh All hand held except a 2 minutes period where I sat the camera on the dash to take stills. As for screaming and yelling, alot of people are just so excited and hyped up they can't contain it. I try to maintain calmness and stay quiet for the most part.

  • @gilligan08 I don't mind getting close, but not in an urban environment. Too much room for error, getting trapped by power lines, structural debris, poor road options, or just panicking drivers. Out in the wide open now it's a different situation!

  • Can't beleive it's going to be a year coming on the 27th.

  • Get's real good at 5:45 shows you how fucking massive that thing is

  • That. Is. One. Hell. Of. A. Tornado.

  • is the road u started out on AL82?

  • Congrats on being on discovery channels storm chasers!

  • Look at that anvil! Amazing footage! I watched this storm on radar and as soon as I saw that debris ball I knew it was over for Tuscaloosa. Praying that everyone who survived can somehow rebuild their lives and praying for the families of those who lost loved ones.

  • @Namerifrats i live off skyland blvd which is right down the street from where it went through i could hear the sirens atleast 10-15 minutes before it came through after that i really cant remember because i was outside trying to see it and i dont really remember what all was going on other than just being in complete shock

  • just seeing that come into the city must have been so scary knowing what that thing was capable of.

  • @racedad45ky Not sure what hail you are talking about. The hail with that storm had already passed. I was to the south on the main hail core (first video). So I didn't "run to save my car". I've been in Golfballs and tennis ball hail. I will back away from baseball hail and larger because I do want to lose windows and get my equipment soaked. I turned around because the tornado was already northeast of my road, and I would have been blocked by debris. Turned to head back to the interstate

  • Why is it that whenever I watch a video like this there are always cars driving towards the tornado or into a neighborhood that is more than likely going to be hit by a tornado? By the way good video :)
