This is a perfect example of why kids are fucking annoying...the beluga whale, and extremely well tempered mammal is ready to bite these brats' heads off

he's jawpopping!

I'm sure you've already gotten this, but in the video Juno is jaw-popping. I've visited Mystic often enough to notice the pattern in this behavior. He only jaw pops at kids, and he only jaw pops when people are tapping on the glass. Sometimes the kids don't even do anything and he STILL jaw pops at them. Normally this is an aggressive behavior, however I've been told my multiple employees that he learned it from Kela, and that he either does that for the reaction, or when the noise gets too loud.

@Hyurachan it's true. it's no secret like the video uploader believes.

O come on i wanted to see a kid get eaten!

I seen this in another video. A lady who was working at the place says its called "Jaw Popping". Kinda like he's saying "This is MY pool. You crummy lil munchkins cant have it."

The whale isn't actually angry. He's young, and he's learned that by showing this behavior (which is normally an aggressive behavior) that he can get small children to scream, which he can hear. He likes the noise. Of course, it's not good for him to learn to be aggressive, so children visiting Mystic should refrain from squealing.

Well, the parents were obvously too thick headed to OBVIOUSLY see that the Beluga was getting thoroughly pissed off. Let's see you and your kids get in the tank with the whale hmm?? Let's see if it's "playing" then...

Beluga Whales probably support abortion...

people need to start feeding their annoying kid to sharks

Why are you guys blaming the kids? Shame on you! The kids don't know any better because the parents are idiots. I didn't hear any of the parent tell them to stop. Small kids learn what there parents teach them.
Hi- I recorded this video... I don't know who those kids are, but I blame the Mystic aquarium for not posting signs advising that the whales get agitated by people at the glass. An employee told me in confidence that they keep it a secret that the whale reaction is aggressive, because it can be interpreted as playful by someone who doesnt know.
