My thoughts EXACTLY. Then there is the fact that I pay about $65-$75 for 20 rounds of Black Hills ammo (3.50/round ). That would be ~ 35,000 dollars for 10,0000 rounds. Reloading costs me about .70 cents for a 300gr Sierra MKs, .34 cents for 92 grains of Retumbo and .05 cents for a CCI magnum primer. About $1.10/rnd + my time. That still $11,000 for ammo. Your gun is a sweetheart and if you back off from the maximum load 2 grains like I did your barrel will last a LONG LONG time.

@tapper45 Look into the State Arms 3 inch Shark Break on your .50. I have one on my State Arms Rebel. It does a fantastic job but blows stuff right off your bench when firing. It has recoil similar to maybe a 7mm mag or something similar to that. I fired one without the break and it was absurd!

@parkze17 andrew means that because they both have the "AR" that they must be the same rifle LOL
-
@AndrewBehning lol 10,000 rounds of .338 would cost you $35,000. It's not an economically feasible round to shoot liberally, to say the least, so you need not worry.

Nice Truck!

If anything Id say its more based on a smaller version of the AR50 but with a magazine. @AndrewBehning

Sorry sporting rifle is more what i meant. But still how is the ar 30 based on the AR 15? They don't really compare in any way. 2 totally different platforms with two totally different actions. Perhaps you know something I do not. @AndrewBehning

@parkze17 its still based on the ar15 design though. and the ar15 is just a rifle not and assault rifle like u said, it is only an assault rifle if it can go burst fire or full auto normally

Its not an AR15 rifled in a 338 Lapua. It is an AR30 which is a totally different rifle than the AR15. They are more precision oriented like a sniper rifle, not an assault rifle. @AndrewBehning
its a nice gun but it wont last past 10,000 rounds so its a very expensive gun that beats itself up hopefull they well improve on the design

@AndrewBehning 10,000 rounds, I would be more than happy with that I was planning on rebarreling it every 1500 to 2000 rounds, the price of .338LM it would take me a LONG time to put 10k rounds through it, I have owned the gun for 9 months and just broke 100 rounds.
