@k1ng401 I agree with what you said...the modern parts were base on more comedy romance, while the 1600's could've been it's own awesome movie, "however" (LOL) i loved the whole movie (when I watched it) I thought for a modern/historical movie, it was well balanced...except the ending was a tad rushed :(

watched the DVD last night with English subtitles. The modern parts were not that good but the parts set in the 1600s were very well done. Sort of Prince of Persia meets 300. Unfortunately the modern parts were full of the verbal slapstick that passes as comedy in so many modern indian films. Note to Indian producers; Umrao Jaan had no comedy and it was a great film!

i donot understand telugu!!

can u tell me any other films like this which is worth watching ??

I just don't think the movie is suitable for kids, not bcoz of the violence but bcoz the story itself is full of rage and fury. Having said that I personally loved it a lot. I liked everything about the movie. Perhaps the only drawback I could think of is the visual effects that may be improved, but its still outstanding to Indian cinema standards.

There are hardly any telugu producers or directors who can make these kind of movies(original or copied).Just appreciate good work by the magadheera movie team.
It might be a copy or caste/money power. Allu Aravind might say some crap.
But, the bottomline is, this movie or any movie, is the hard work of the team, which we need appreciate if movie turns out to be a watchable piece.
We can jus count on our fingers how many historic movies we see now a days compared to list of crap movies
