Gladstones Restaurant Long Beach and the Maya Hotel Catamaran Sailing

John Sangmeister's new Formula 40 sailing catamaran took it's first sail today in an effort to shake the boat down and make sure everything worked properly. Designer Gino Morrelli was along to helm the boat and make all of the systems were functioning properly. Master rigger Chuck Simons from Proctor Masts and Rigging tuned up the boat and ran the chase boat and video. After just 15 minutes we had the boat zipping along in the high teens and low 20 knot range. Many thanks to John and Gladstones for a great afternoon of sailing this, the last day of February 2011.

Air temp was in the mid 60s and skies were clear winds were generally 11-15 knots.
