Datsun 620, startup and run, dual mikuni 44mm carbs, isky camshaft, ported and polished u60 open chamber head, matched mikuni manifold, 96 amp saturn alternator swap, hayden electric fan, z car 5 speed swap, fun little truck. no exhaust yet but its headed to the shop tomorrow. running open manifold

  • i never used the starters on the carbs, never needed them, hainz said they were on, they were not, never moved them. And the carbs were expensive.

  • shounds like the choke is ON on one side.

    Make sure the chokes are closed . or the hat the turns the choke plate . Sometimes people put the plates in backwards. if you hook the cable up one carb the choke will be on the other off. Pop the eclip and youll see the plate.

    My e clip fell off and if I rev it up soem times the choke will enggae on one set of carbs.

  • @heinzmaui trust me dude the starters are both off, if they werent there would be fire coming out of the manifold right below the carbs. i didnt put them on anyways wolf creek racing did, so one would assume that he put them on properly since he has been doing it for several years now. thanks for the comment man i wanna see a vid of yours

  • @ghettobraden what starters is that cuz thier is fire coming out of my carbs i use the same carbs dual mikuni 44mm on my saturn engine

  • you can buy different starters to suit left and right hand mounted carbys

    and they are off ,its just they would be different starters to the toyota ones cos on a toyota the 40phh carbs sit on the other side of the motor

    nice motor ,what did the carbs cost you ?
