That's how it is for every non-EU citizen especially when coming from non-EU region into EU. Same thing will happen to me if I'm to cross the US-Canadian border.

Whats with all of the checkpoints in crossing the border? I thought that you would just pull up to the border booth, answer a few questions, and be on your way. But it seems like you had to stop about every 2 seconds or so. Lol

Canadian passport gets stamps - yes. Car was rented in Serbia so had Serbian plates
