  • you keep hearing about this 2/3rds majority required for budget-and how its costing us billions each year. According to wikipedia the 2/3rds majority of a proposed CA budget(prop 13 and 218) is ONLY REQUIRED IF A RAISE IN TAXES IS PROPOSED- they shouldn't be trying to raise taxes in this economy anyway! Whatever revenue the tax being proposed will bring in is either greatly hindered, cancelled out- or even PUT INTO THE NEGATIVE by the gridlock resulting 2/3 approval requirement for that tax.

  • I wish that so much wouldn't be taken from the school system, at least the parts of the school system that need it most. My younger brother graduated high school with honors and was unable to register to any local colleges near my city. The community college I go to had half of it's classes cut and over 100 professors lost their jobs this year. This portion of our public sector is needed to strengthen our private sector.
