  • Take a baby asprin before the niacin and you wont flush. Thats been my experience! Good luck.

  • @genkoshee That actually makes sense thanks for sharing

  • Niacinamide is the non flushing version. Doctors etc thought the flush was an overdose of niacin when doing research so took that bit out and made niacinamide. It is apparently an indicator that the body is lacking niacin as todays diet and alcohol and drugs deplete this quite rapidly. If you get a flush taking say, 100mg. Keep taking 100mg each day till the flush stops. Then you have handled that reaction etc for that level.

  • @mikael1canada That's absolute garbage, some people take up to 8000mg per day for depression and anxiety. This is flushing version of niacin.

Non-flush is said to be dangerous, which it may be. However, there's a difference between these 2.

  • @mikael1canada source?

  • Thank you !! Just had that exact experience -from taking niacin for first time... And I thought I was going to freak out! But it passed and now I'm feeling like myself - maybe better even a tiny bit better.... Strange and interesting ...

  • I just took some niacin a half hour ago, and I am flushing with you :-)
