Zakk Our Angel

A tribute to our son Zakk Anthony Devlin who beat all the odds to be born alive with Trisomy 18 on 11th August 2009 and fought bravely for every second of the 70 precious minutes he lived. We are so proud to have been his parents and he has forever changed our lives. The song is Precious Child by Karen Taylor-Good which my sister found (thanks Roisin) and we played at Zakks funeral as we said goodbye. wow... zakk is a beautiful baby.... it's been two years now since my son raymond passed away... grieving an infant is a difficult process that is difficult to understand unless you have been there and done it.... if you ever need to talk i will check on you periodically sometimes just sharing how you feel in a difficult moment helps you heal... god bless you and your family

Thank you all so much for your comments. We appreciate every one and are so glad that by sharing Zakk others can see how precious our babies are and how much they deserve a chance as no matter how short their lives may be and no matter how great the pain of their passing is they are worth that chance a million times over. Those of us who met Zakk have been forever changed for the better and will always feel blessed by having had him in our lives, he just left us far too soon. xo
