Waiting Children (Short Film)

WAITING CHILDREN takes the audience on a trip to Russian Orphanages with an adoptive mother and the head of an international adoption agency. In light of all of the negative news reports of the past few years, this film explores the lives of young children in orphanages in a new way. On this short trip, we begin to learn of the needs of both the parents and the children. The adoption of a young boy named Tolya helps give perspective to the telling of this story.

I'm a survivor! :) The only thing that I regret about being adopted from Russia is that I lost touch with my heritage. But, I never forget how lucky I am.

I was adopted from Russia. I lived in an orphanage. Seeing this makes me cry and think about how my life could have been if I didn't get adopted when I did.

The smile on the boys face at the end says it all. The only think that would have made it better would be if you could have surprised him by bringing his brother back. I would have paid to see that. Best of luck to every one. I just wish I was able to adopt.
