13-1/2 Year Old Lab Catches Frisbee

Dusty, my 13-1/2 year old Yellow Labrador lives to play Frisbee again. We should have named her Timex or Energizer! We realized during her last bout with death that we had no videos of Dusty playing Frisbee, the greatest joy in her life (and it ranks pretty high up there for me too). She just had an 8 pound splenic tumor and her spleen removed in May-09, followed by experiencing liver failure for the second time (the first time when she was 12). She also survived Parvo (Parvovirus) when she was a puppy. Ive been trying to get her on video catching a Frisbee and it finally happened during an unseasonably cool day in July-09. She was blasting around the yard and I thought, if I just had my camcorder. Then I realized I had my cell phone on me and decided to give it a shot. She catches it on the second pass. As you can tell, I was very excited and emotional. She is amazing!

You can tell how much you love your baby. She was lucky to have a partner like you. I hate to say owner. Do we really "own" a dog?
