Faces of Ein Hodians during the festival of the Golden Calf that traditionally takes place every year at the end of the passover holidays. The Golden Calf is created by a local artist and then carried through the alleys of the village to the Amphy theater. The whole village accompanies the Sculpture with lots of noise and drumming "praying", and shouting to relive the historic event of the biblical story of the Golden Calf during Exodus. At the end of the procession in the Amphy theater the crowd is met by Moses who pours his wrath over his unfaithful people and presents them with the ten Commandments. The crowd- especially the children hit the calf and it is then burned and reduced to ashes while the dancing continues around the burning calf. The festival is topped by a great locally prepared lemonade, spiced with vodka and pita with satar and lebane, another tradition, that adds to the joy and dancing of all and should not be missed. Thank you all for the great time and see you next Passover
