What show was this?

Bloody fantastic! Two superb Icons together, Peggy Lee always admired Petula's voice and style;and vice-versa. If Ella had joined them, you would have had the three best Female singers ever.
You can take all of the x-factor type rubbish and stuff it! Thank Goodness we still have Petula recording for us.

@siroptimistic Latinos are not (Spanish). If you are looking for percentages of LatinAmericans you look for LatinAmericans, not the Spanish, who by the way had a miniscule immigration to the USA compared with other Europeans.

I love this duet. It epitomizes the youthful and independent style of the early 70's As a small child I was babysat by a family friend with hair al la Peggy. I still remember visiting the hair salon and their beautiful split level home with sunken conversation pit in white shag and floor to ceiling white brick fireplace. She collected vintage blue vaseline glass and it looked stunning against the white brick. Her husband collected pirhanas in a huge aquarium. Long live the 70's.

They both look and sound fantastic. And, bravo Laura Nyro for your remarkable talents.

@JeanJacquelyn The shoe kicking comes after Petula sings her first song (Beautiful Sounds) and then, in her intro, tells us how ordinary she is... and that the shoes are pinching. It's rather amusing. But you're right, I've met her a few times and she's as ordinary as the woman at the end of the road, except she has a voice that would blow the back off your average concert hall... and she's a millionaire superstar.

@dougeski No need to replace Pet for the moment. She is still working and shortly to do the star guest spot at the Montreux Jazz Festival, various shows planned in the States and Canada, and a spectacular in Théâtre St Denis, in Montréal. She scored her first Silver disc fro an Album in 2008 in the UK. Peggy, regretfully has no replacement.

These two ladies reflect nothing but pure class, true talent and gifted voices. How could you possibly listen to them sing and not be moved...

@creaturezx Not nice and not true.

Petula is great and Miss Lee had the LOOK. Both sang great. What a surprise to hear their duet of the great Laura Nyro's "Wedding Bell Blues". Three great women of music! Thanks for sharing.

Peggy and Petula did a great job with this Medley, just like the 5th Dimension, but laying in the grave is the writer of many of the great songs from the 60's named Laura Nyro. What a bleepen shame she never received her dues thanks to the way the industry was run.
