First and foremost, a big "well done" to UMG, who has allowed this video to stay posted, even though they have correctly claimed ownership to both the audio and video. Apparently, someone in power also has some sense, and realized that allowing it to stay does nothing but promote their own artist (and sales of her recordings). Thank you! I only wish Warner Music Group would be so intelligent ...

The following description was what I originally posted. I have since been repeatedly corrected. Yes, I should have done more research. But at the time, it was the first one-shot that I could recall. Anyway, this was what I first posted as a description:
This is a groundbreaking music video in that it was filmed as a single shot, and (to the best of my knowledge) is the first to do that. It's a striking contrast to typical music videos, which often use more than a hundred shots edited together.
I normally wouldn't post a clip like this, but nobody else seems to have a version in which the audio is synchronized with the video.
(Even the original was a little wack, and I've done a tiny alteration to get the band in the living room AND Tracy's televised singing to line up with the sound. Usually you get one or the other.)
Enjoy!

Also, this version has been posted after mine, and I approve of it ... the colors are more vivid, and the audio is faithful to the original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wETjQNMnVlc&NR=1

  • I really miss the angry female singers from the nineties. Tracy Bonham, Shirley Manson, Alanis Morissette. Where did all the anger go?

  • I'm hungry I'm dirty I'm losing my mind Everything's fine I'm freezing I'm starving I'm bleeding to death Everything's fine I miss you I love you (commercial on tv) Precious stone, precious.

  • brings back memories. my friend's mother used to cry whenever we would play this song

  • Look for Tracy's new CD due out in July. Check out some of the cuts at engineroomrecordings (dot) com.

  • @parisRAWR : I think it's simple but effective

  • ...who did a cover of this song? *lol* j/k I see the video in the sidebar. I have to admit, I like the fact that I haven't heard of the cover until just this very minute. I looked up the video on YouTube because I hadn't seen it in a while and was singing the song this morning. This song is deep in lyrical placement and video storyline.

  • Let mee see... Kate Nash seems to be angry, some what. ... mmm.. can't think of any. I guess your question is valid :-)

  • daaaang..back in the days. thanks for posting! great song ~

  • Oh my goodness....I never knew who sang this and I've never seen this video before today. I've been looking for this song off and on for YEARS. THANK YOU a thousand times over for posting it here.

  • Mother has OCD

  • I can't believe people are talking about a cover that prob wasn't half as popular as this original. I hardly know who the Veronicas are, and have never heard their version. This is the only one as far as I am concerned.

  • Thanks for synching the audio. It was hard to watch before. This has always been one of my favorite songs.
