How do you know its a good airframe? have you stripped it and inspected? for all we know those air craft could have fatal fractures, damaged stress points and would probably not make another flight.

i worked as a ramp agent in JFK and always wanted to see a airplane graveyard. its just so amazing to see these things all piled up and abandoned

if they are going to scrap these aircraft, we should be using Hommies from the hood, to do this. They would do a better job, and we would get more money for the parts. They could do this as part of they Work-release program.

This is what is called wasteful; the result of "accounting amortization" which refers to expensing the acquisition cost minus the residual value of intangible assets in a systematic manner over their estimated useful economic lives so as to reflect their consumption, expiration, obsolescence or other decline in value as a result of use or the passage of time. In other words, they gotten rid of this crap, because some dumbass accountant's spreadsheet said so, and they had no damn clue.
