  • It's just the car kit. No battery, no charger, no controller, no servos, no receiver/speed controller. You'll need to buy those separately at your local RC/hobby shop. I think I spent around $150-$175 extra for all of the above.

  • I SPEND 30€ FOR A DESENT FM TRANSMITTER + RECIEVER + SERVO

AND 100€ FOR THE KIT = 130€ CASHING!!!

  • Those nobbly tryes wont last 5 mins on tarmac.

  • @gestekoe The hornet is simpler than most rc cars. As a result it is faster. It is truley a fun 2wd car. I had 3 hornets, and they were all a total blast. I had other rc cars from associate that sucked ass, but were percieved as better cars by the public because they looked more complicated.

  • @gestekoe: I agree. When I had a Hornet (late 1980's) I wished I had an RC-10. Now you can get gas powered machines w/ oil filled shocks (front and rear) that run circles around the RC-10 for about $225. Why spend 200+ on an old tech car?

  • 150-175?i can get everything at my local store for 115 but you did post this a year ago so maybe they lowered price

  • Watch my rc car jump vid

  • Nice paint!

  • You just answered your own question, dickhead. Nostalgia...the same reason people buy 40 year old muscle cars and restore them...it isin't about speed and performance.

  • Me to, I dont understand why I just spent well over 200$ on restauring my over 20 year old Hornet, and why I will soon spend over 200$ on a used Monster Beetle that probably will need parts for around 200 more dollars. And on top of that I have to get the Hotshot re-release(another 200$)...And I will probably not even drive them much because I have other cars thats better and faster.Go figure

  • I guess I don't understand why someone in their right mind would buy a Tamiya for over $200 when you can get a Traxxas Bandit, Rustler, Slash and Stampede for $199 or less. I understand it's nastalgic and brings back memories, but come on!!!!!

  • comes with everything cept a battery charger and the battery itself

  • not good to drive off road rc's on asphalt or cement or anything like that..can seriously mess up your tires.

  • You got an ESC in that?

  • Great car. Mine's in the closet enjoying a quiet retirement. But she's ready to run!

  • Nice Paintjob :)

  • wow pretty gay coulours

  • hey im going to get a hornet after christmas and i need to know if it comes with the battery and charger pack and also does it come with a controller?
