This is an excerpt from a guided tour for professionals at the Transrapid Test Facility in Germany.
The new TR09 magnetic levitation trainset, not open for the general public, has been designed for 500 km/h cruising speed, but since its first planned deployment as the (cancelled) Munich airport connection was projected to run at 350 km/h top speed, this run also maxes out at 350 km/h. The only commercial operation of the Transrapid so far is in Shanghai, China.
