Singapore-based musician and songwriter Randolf Arriola, This is my solo live looping rendition of "With or Without You" by U2. I dedicate this as a tribute to the genius of Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois, Michael Brook and U2.

Special thanks to the following for their help to make this video possible: James Woo (soft.com.sg), Leslie Hui, Nigel Hogan, Anisah Aidid, Marvin Das, Pepper See, Mervyn Asher, Jennifer Eveland and Ramon Arriola.

I'm a student of Greg Howard on the Chapman Stick and a member of Loopersdelight.com the world's largest International community of creative musicians, sound artists and music technology who share the common ground of sonic explorations with Live Looping as a performance method with it's wide applications in creative and educational, artistic and entertainment fields.

I was 1 of 4 headliners among 75 International performers at Y2KX International Live Looping Festival held in Santa Cruz, San Jose and San Francisco .in Oct 2010.

  • lol, the funny thing is Pink Floyd got accused of getting too much help from effects in 1972... this guy just has to strum and he gets a pedal to produce shimmering synth tones that are so delayed rhythm can almost be ignored... lol good performance for sure tho.

  • @Kenokke23 or matt mullholland..who won the contest XD

  • @FrasiliasPower You can also use effect pedals that bring you down an octave or two, turning your guitar strings into bass strings. I've seen this down pretty well too.

  • What an amazing video! If this song was available on iTunes I'd buy it.

  • Nice job, thanks for posting

  • @codecougar Not that much stuff really, but the cable clutter would annoy me

  • what a mess of shit on the floor. my god, I could never deal with all that crap. he did an impressive job though.

  • Randolf, I love this... fantastic... Your work is so beautifully exciting, I do especially like your more meditative work, but this is something else too..xx

  • @Kenokke23 and....i'm not going to try to say anything else funny today, b/c it won't be this funny.
