Steve & Leone Murty talk to Richard & Judy many years ago on This Morning, with footage of the Pirelli Pro-Jet truck and the High Performer wheelie truck.
Yes he still has the vauxhall wheelie car and it looks in reasonable condition. We have asked for it to be brought back out and there seems to be no plans to do this unfortunatly... You should go on to the york raceway forum and ask him to. You never know if there are enough requests.
It'd be excellent if he did then! He's got a unit near my old work, and when i've been past there's been various trucks outside, including this one before and after transformation, the jet one and monster trucks!
Really great to see this truck...! The whole concept, design and execution was the brainchild of my Uncle, Peter Chambers, who at the time was Product Development Manager for Multipart. They got this truck designed and built in just a couple of months ready for it's unveiling at the 1985 Multipart Truck Grand Prix at Silverstone. I am not sure if it still stands but it had the World Record for longest wheelie by a truck. Go Uncle Pete...!!!
i have sat in that beast. it used to live next to my house. man that truck is emense. it also has massive weights that slide over the rear axel to lift it up
