yea u can scale up if u need to but it will cost u more and more the more u need to scale. its a good idea for SMALL companys but not big institutions

@dwc211283 Actually, many large institutions are adopting cloud computing in their IT mix. A name you might know that is heavily in the cloud is Netflix. Cloud computing is good for all types of business, but you do have to think out the perfect mix.

Awesome so now everything is in one place. Now hackers can just take your username and password, log into the server, take your information, and sell it. Good job, you're just making it easier. Now lets talk about those jobs that are going to be lost. People, you might wanna wait until this is perfected. Also, what if the servers break down? What will happen if there is some find of problem? To many possibilities, we are not ready.

What is going to happen to all the jobs?...Everyone is for moving forward and using innovation...What is going to happen to all the jobs? I am a young IT professional, I wonder if the people in the auto plants in Detroit asked the same question when the first automated machines you being installed in the factories...What is going to happen to all the jobs? Why can't people see we are innovating our way into unemployment???

if anyone believe system can scale just because its scale its most STUPID idea. You need scalable/distributed system, if you run a web system that can not be hosted by multiple instances, backend app server thats stuck with 1 server, and backend DB with single instance that cannot be scaled to you're need, and lastly, backend SAN that cannot cope with IOPS demand.

your SOFTWARE must be scalable, your infrastrucutre can be added with whatever, but if your SOFTWARE cannot scale, its useless!!
