Happy Spring! I started transplanting some of my veggies. I also replaced most of my drip irrigation drippers with drip-line tubing. It was a spaghetti mess and I had to clean it up. Also an update on my potatoes!

  • I'm looking into installing drip in my raised beds this spring, but here is my question, maybe you can answer it? My beds are separated like yours, so where does the connector tube go that's between the beds or does each bed have it's own water source? I'm perplexed as to how this is going to work? Thanks for any help!

  • @chikkagrl Go to Lowes or HD. They have tubing without the drip emitters (just solid), That is the part that will go under ground. Dig a small trench that runs between the beds, run some PVC under there..then feed the drip tube thru. when it comes out theother side into the bed just use a coupler to join the blank tubing with one that has emitters. :-) Viola!

Then just fill in the trench, to cover the PVC back up. It shouldn't be hard at all. Its definitely worth it.

  • on your egg shells, did you wash them after using the egg inside before your stored them. Ihave been thinking of doing this as well, but not sure of the process. Thanks.

  • @praterclp I just rinsed them in water. I didn't wash them with soap.

I did it that way last year as well.

  • Well your video helped me a great deal. Thanks for posting it.

  • @Allen2045 That's awesome! :-) thanks! Its really cool that we can all help each other out. I have learned SO much on YouTube about gardening.

  • @gardenvespers777 Thanks again. I always wondered what the steps were invovled. I don't have a lot of eggs each week, but if I could prepare them and store them they would generate a lot over time and I don't have to buy the sluggo bait.

  • looking good

  • @4GreenEarth2 Ohh I never heard of scented ones. I was trying to find a variety that can withstand the blazing sun during the summer time. I'll have to try to find the one you mentioned. :-) Sounds wonderful!

  • I favor the scented geraniums that has culinary use as well as medicinal. I have a nutmeg scented geranium which smells exactly like nutmeg with a hint of lemon!
