[APH] USA x Vietnam ~ This Ain't No Ordinary Love Song

Aah.. I was looking over my old videos when I saw my first USA/Vietnam tribute. I don't dislike it, don't get me wrong, but it IS extremely fluffy and soft and overly perfect and happy. I really wanted to make a more realistic, angsty tribute for these two after that... once that actually acknowledged the history between the two, you know.
(I mean, it's so easy just to throw two Hetalia characters together because "They look cute together!" or "Their personalities just fit!", but I have to remind myself that they are, after all, personifications of countries... That's why I'm so proud of this one-- because it actually has historical, realistic themes!)

I think their relationship is very multidimensional. ^^ It really intruiges me. This video is meant to portray their relationship from the Vietnam War to current times, where they slowly become friends after their wartimes together. Their relationship is quite angsty, but I think there's a certain warmth to it.

I used every single couple picture I had of them (at the time), which meant I had to fit in a bunch of fluffy and cutesy pictures... you know, which I wouldn't have used otherwise if I had a lot more. But I think I made it work, at least a little. What about you? c:
