What i did was pull the loop over the spool, opened the bail then pulled the line til it was loose

I usually open the bail and pull the line out but I like your idea because it keeps tension on the line and tightens the loops while you pull. Not sure how much better it's going to work but I can't wait to try your tip out. Thanks!

i always open the bail and pull out line until i free the loop...i never had problems doing it that way...

u have been to that lake in missouri and just caught some catfish and perch man what a deep lake i stayed at the resort

What I usually do is to cast a weight very far and reel it back. The loop will just disappear.
