Here's my first test of the new Olympus Stylus 770SW. I bought it for it's waterproof abilities so I thought I would test it first in the local pool. Video quality is pretty good, it was early evening so the light was not great. The audio was not brilliant, a bit muffled. But I think this was due to water over the mic slot. On a video taken before and after the audio quality was much better. However there is a faint buzz throughout all the video, not sure why.

Overall I'm very happy, after taking me 5 minutes to pluck up the courage to jump in the pool with the camera.

Enjoy!

  • I'll need to check it out. Not overly impressed with the sound and video quality from the Olympus. But I figured you have to sacrifice something for the flexibility of use. I've got some videos taken on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia that I will post.

  • Are you kidding me? I got a camera that goes underwater for only $99 instead of like $500. It even has better video quality.

  • I think that is 15 frames per second, not at good as the sanyo xacti which has 30 at the same resolution

  • I'm thinking about getting that camera. Thanks for sharing!
