Great job. I always enjoy the multiple things to do outside the Magic Kingdom. One could spend an entire vacaion exploring and doing a walking tour.

We stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside last summer and loved it. It was a quiet oasis. People who use the excuse of "wanting to get away from the Mouse" for staying offsite should try the Disney resorts. You can't beat them for service and hospitality and you aren't constantly bombarded by Mickey. He's there, on napkins and drink cups and hidden in the wallpaper pattern, but anyone should be able to deal with that.

Yes, he IS the symbol of Disney and Mickey is cool but Walt himself didn't use him in absolutly everything. That's my point

I was in the French Quarter of New Orleans just 2 weeks ago. That is the Quarter that was supposedly spared a lot of damage. It was horrible, and I am not being picky. Very dirty, rundown, sleazy, and the streets smelled like urinal cakes. Very expensive. Even the stinky bars that charge twice what they should serve their stuff in plastic cups. N.O. will never be cleaned up.

Nice nat sound, great pics, and really cool that you made a point of it being Dixie Landings. And it is nice to get away from the Mouse every once and a while!

Love this video!! I love the style! Check out my channel where you can tour other Disney resorts and parks!

good point. Even Walt knew when to not plaster Mickey on everythihng
Just a warning. A lot of the location themes in the Disney parks glorify New Orleans. That was the New Orleans of the past. I live in New Orleans. It is a horrible place to live. It is a horrible place to visit. If you want to see the best of New Orleans, go to a Disney Park.

We visited New Orleans seven months after Katrina. It's going to take years and a huge investment to get the place up and running again.

True, but he can be avoided ! Not that I have any objection to Mickey or his friends, but sometimes its nice to avoid the Disney razzamatazz.
