When someone reads your d, you're done. When I hike, I look for cover 2. I have a slot receiver always rdy for a possible cover 2. If I catch you in it, easy 50+ yards.
Cover 3, expose defense with mid range attacks and hope for a lot of rac. Same for cover 4.
The important thing about d is not keeping the field covered, a good qb will rape whatever you throw at him. The key is to bring pressure and force him to make bad reads. No pressure = easy reads, and receivers WILL get open.

@ookdundundundun This is a long shot, but could you please explain to me what to look for in the linebackers. I'm newish to American Football, butt am learning fast. But I still don't know what to look for when assessing the linebackers. About the safeties? Very good advice, always what I look for first.
