Vibratory bowl feeders are self-contained systems consisting of a bowl feeder that orients the parts and a vibrating drive unit, upon which the bowl feeder is mounted. The drive unit, equipped with a variable-amplitude controller, vibrates the bowl feeder, forcing the parts to move up a circular, inclined track. The track is designed to sort and orient the parts in consistent, repeatable positions, according to certain requirements.

The length, width and depth of bed of the vibratory bowl feeder can be adjusted, and special bed liners can be installed if the material to be handled is abrasive. Dust-proof outlet covers can be attached to the inlet and discharge to reduce dusting caused by dusty material or a completely enclosed tube feeder can be specified. Vibratory bowl feeders can also be manufactured from stainless steel to meet sanitary requirements in food processing.

Vibratory bowl feeders are utilized in the pharmaceutical, automotive, chemical and mining industries. Other industries include steel, glass, foundry, concrete, recycling, bakery, railroad unloading and plastics.
