@ViewersChoiceTGT This ship isnt exactly meant to be solely for the use of the weekend traveler. It is suppose to house like a 100,000 people on more of a permanent basis. They would live on the ship in condos and apartments, and use the aircraft above to fly to countries. It would never dock cuz it cant dock as you pointed out. All supplies would be brought in by aircraft or seacraft. Check their website out, pretty useful info on there regarding its design..

@mjain2 Ya no kidding. Who needs ice bergs when you have captains like that. When i go on my next cruise, im packing my own inflatable emergency raft and life vest, :)....
-
@Amurphy37 ...just make sure you don't have a Costa Captain

I love to look at the concept ships. Most are pointlessly shaped and don't actually have any idea of what will be inside. If Royal Caribbean decided to build smaller with "Project Sunshine" then they did for Geniuses class(Oasis) don't you think thats probably because they might have thought they wouldn't be able to fill the ships...? WTF do u think your gonna do with a mile long ship. What Harbor do you think your getting into?

@msrockgirl93 --- not it is a smart idea to build a ship of this size is to be seen, only time will tell because almost all projects ever this ambitious, eventually get realized...
-
@msrockgirl93 --- starting with the hull obviously, though the hull on this ship would be built atop of barge platforms, because a standard hull would not work. As for the info being legit, it comes from their own website, with a link on the news page sending you to a video Discovery Channel did on the ship and its design, many more details about it in there. As i said before, this ship is entirely possible to build, anything is possible, though whether or ---

@msrockgirl93 A couple things, first i completely agree with your points and concerns for the most part. It would house a lot of people, more then one could imagine there would even be enough life boats. But luckily in our day and age, ships dont strike ice bergs, :). It is still possible obviously, however with the use of radar and sonar, there hasnt been a disastrous sinking caused by ice bergs since their development. The construction would be done out at sea by building up ---
