So why do You think they protest against the Chinese rule, even when they know they face imprisonment and torture, and even a deathsentence for doing so?

Many centuries before the Chinese invasion in 1950 there where Europen scientists and travllers in Tibet, who wrote books about Tibets history, people and culture. So the rest of the world; i.e. us who are not victims of the chinese communist brainwash and the regimes enormous propaganda-machine, know Tibet's true history. (And also that of China). So, Tibet was never been a part of China before 1959. The rest of the world are aware of that. You should know that.

Go read a book before you open your mouth. Tibet belonged to China for at least 400 years before Mao took over. The Manchus who conquered China also took over Tibet around the 1600s. As for your Europeans travellers and historians, did you Britain and Germany both tried to control Tibet? Brain washed by Chinese propaganda? Chinese government should not just go in and free the slaves. They should have worked with Dalai Lama, after all, Tibetans were his property and should be protected.
