CSX OCS P-929-30 - Riverline - 5/30/09

"The Furlough Express"

Backstory:

I begin my afternoon on the Riverline at CP-55, New Windosor, NY and set up in anticipation of the arrival of the OCS (and a small parade of trains before it). After standing there a few minutes the City of Newburgh Police show up to check what I am doing since I am parked not only adjacent to a rail line but also near some local industry. They were polite and friendly and all they asked was that I stayed put until the New Windsor PD arrived, as it was technically their jurisdiction. The New Windsor PD arrive, mention the recent events at Stewart AFB, but more or less just copy my info and carry on. In the course of conversation it comes up that the train I am waiting for is the OCS - a PASSENGER train on this normally freight only line. A few of the officers take interest and decide to hang around to see it for themselves.......

So: P-929-30 shows up at 15:23, with:

I then gave chase (the exact details of which will remain secret)....and got to Orangeburg about 10 minutes ahead of the OCS, just in time to get told he had just cleared CP-33 in Haverstraw.... So at 14:19, he rolled into view and rolled over the detector...

Um, back then I don't recall if this video was before or after the channels were changed, but road has been on 5858 for years, and the DS channel was 1010 and later 3434. However most times while out buffin I am scanning those (and a few other) channels.....
