After several years of producing lots of side-by-side racing action, Bristol International Raceway (before it was known as Bristol Motor Speedway) decided to go down a road very rarely traveled for a new paving job... concrete.
Drivers had a bit of a rough time getting used to the new surface, but it was a familiar face that ended up dominating the latter half of the race, en route to yet another win at the Tennessee short track.
Classic post-race interview, I thought... also, it was kinda weird to see Dave Marcis in something other than his trademark #71.
Scenery was so much better at Bristol before circled it with grandstands
