Sunwing Airline Advisory ~ Bad Travel Package?

Travelers with all-inclusive vacation package in Mexico said they got a nasty surprise at departure — they were booked into a hotel for one night less than expected and had to check out 17 hours before their morning flight home.

Stacey Riediger ended up trying to sleep in the hotel lobby on the last night.

"Everyone in our package was in the same boat," said Tony Lucas, who bought the Sunwing/Signature vacation package from Vancouver to Puerto Vallarta with his wife, Stacey Riediger, at the end of November.

"It was a great deal ... [but] it was a travel ripoff."

I was so worried about this when I was down there. But, I went from Oct 30 to Nov 7th and we had no problems. Our hotel was booked for all nights required and we ended up getting a free extra day on the resort because our flight didn't leave until 11pm. It was great.

kevlar888 is correct...Sunwing Airlines does their job...you get there safe and the service is good...go bitch about the asshole who messed up your booking...Sunwing Vacations ,travel agent, etc!

Chose between:

1- A trip all-inclusive in Mexico for 8 days at $1500 and come back on the last day so your precious day at the pool is waisted.

OR

2- A trip all-inclusive in Mexico for 7 days at $1500 and come back at night 11:59 on the 7th day with teleportation.

Give us a break.

I have used Sunwing many times and I ALWAYS read what time I am arriving and departing...It's up to the passengers to find out what they are signing for, anytime you sign anything you should read it. I've watched your other videos how you praise Sunwing Airlines so much, but perhaps you should correct yourself and refer to Sunwing Vacations which started the problem not the airline. They have great service, and everything is free including a hot meal! OH wait...except alcohol.

Just to clairify - It's not Sunwing Airlines who screwed them over, it was Signature and Sunwing Vacations, two different divisions. Sunwing Airlines just provides the air portion of the packages. Flight schedules all depend on aircraft availability. Sunwing Airlines didn't purposely schedule that flight time to screw everyone over. The tour operator should factor in the flight schedule and add the extra night. It's not fair of you to bash Sunwing Airlines when they have nothing to do with it.
