@dlo693 since modern chinese orchestras formed in the early 40s, cello and bass had been used as the lower strings part of a chinese orchestra, however the chinese always wanted to have an instrument that sound more like the other chinese "Huqing" (ie. fiddles). thus the Gehu (lit. innovated Huqing) and Diying Gehu (Bass Gehu) to replace cello and bass.

This beautiful instrument is a Gehu (replacing cello) redesigned by HK Chinese Orchestra.

I do not know if you know English, but if you do, or if someone would be kind enough to translate what I'm saying, I would like you to know that this reminds me very much of the American folk music here in the US. Very beautiful song and instrument sound, it is just like the cello. I wish I also had this instrument myself! :)

其實,無論達到多少度,最後也是取決於樂曲能否感動人.每首樂曲­若配對了樂器,加以演奏家的高超技藝演繹.就能令人有淋漓盡致的­樂感享受.

写到此，感觉中国最完美的乐器应该就算弹拨乐族了，拿到哪里都是­响当当的.

若能与二胡改革一样，能达到三个八度的话，就达到百分之九十五的­完美了.　至于说半音转调的问题.专业出生的人，应该没有什么问题吧？所以­那百分之五的完美，就算了吧.因为要得到这百分之五的完美，会把­笛子百分之八十的完美给毁了的.

还有一个同样是音域问题的改革，就是竹笛.竹笛好的音域也不过两­个八度，最多两个半，撑死三个八度，但已经是非常非常的难了，即­使达到，也非常难听.

本来，就表现力而言，二胡完全可以超越小提琴，但就两个八度的音­域，难免让人觉得小气，不堪大用.如果能改革成功，达到三个八度­，且音色完美的话，那二胡就是一件完美的拉弦乐器了.小提琴什么­的，完全不在话下.

说到胡琴改革，最重要的应该是二胡音域的问题，现在二胡好的音域­不超过两个八度，这是一件认人非常沮丧的事.
