Tony White ~ Early book pitch.

Before 'Animation from Pencils to Pixels' was published and 'Endangered Species' was made, I recorded an interview that explained my objectives to a potential publisher. As it turned out, the existing book and film evolved in a slightly different way to the way it was presented. But this filmed pitch actually goes a long way towards explaining what my next book project is all about. The new book... "How To Be An Animator ~ And Make Animated Films"... is effectively a degree-level course of instructional masterclasses, including a DVD of my filmed lectures and demonstrations that lead the reader though the entire teaching program in simple and well-structured ways. It is the nearest thing to a formal animation apprenticeship that I can offer. The book, to be published by Focal Press, is scheduled to appear sometime early in 2009.
