Pinoys have to gamble to make a living over there and if they can make it to play a tournament in the US a Top5 finish is good enough to secure the food of the whole familiy for year.
Any American/European playes "on the road" make it to play better, to earn a little extra money, but they don't starve if they loose.
Pool and Boxing is to survive over there
