Request for the Chicago Marathon
I just realized that the date of the Chicago Marathon, October 9, would allow me to participate this year.
I had wanted to run the Chicago Marathon in the past, but it coincided with the date of World Bank/IMF Annual meetings, and since I work for an Executive Director at the IMF, I have, of course, to be present at that time.
Unfortunately, the registration is closed. I am aware that I could still run for a charity, but US $ 1,200,- is a bit much, if added to the expenses I will have traveling to Chicago.
I have been running marathons for the past 10 years and usually do two races a year
(13 times the Marine Corps Marathon in D.C., 2 times Boston, 1 time NY, 1 time Miami and 1 time Vienna, Austria).
My time is anywhere between 3.30 and 3.50 if that matters.
It has been a long time goal of mine to run in Chicago, but alas, schedule never permit it.
It would be great, if I could still get to the startline this year!
